GRADIENT TRAINING CENTRE AIMS FOR GREATER COLLABORATION WITHIN THE ROOFING INDUSTRY

Gradient, a market leader in bespoke, single-layer tapered roofing solutions, has launched a training centre to educate and demonstrate best practice in a range of flat roofing applications.

The Gradient Training Centre is based at the company’s manufacturing HQ in Burntwood, Staffordshire. A company renowned as the ‘problem solver’ of the roofing industry, Gradient’s centre offers theoretical training and practical exercises in a range of processes. Gradient’s expert technical team, who have many years of hands-on roofing experience to call upon, will host the training sessions. These sessions will demonstrate how to build roofing rigs and many other methods of roofing construction, with the overall aim of instilling best practice in line with current regulations and health and safety.

Laura Sockett, Business Manager at Gradient, said: “The Gradient Training Centre gives us the opportunity to pass-on our flat roofing expertise in order to inspire the next generation of roofing specialists. We look forward to working with customers, students, apprentices and trade partners to continue our drive for roofing innovation and best practice.”

Due to its central location making it easily accessible to attendees from all parts of the country, the Gradient Training Centre is the ideal assessment facility for the construction industry. It comprises a presentation area for demonstration purposes, which accommodates over 50 people per session, and a practical area for trainees to work with products themselves.

Laura Sockett added: “As a leading provider of roofing systems for more than 30 years, Gradient has a number of industry firsts to its name. Our new training centre, which will be launched at this year’s Futurebuild, will lead the way as an educational hub committed to delivering the highest standards of roofing installation and safety for many years to come.”
